2011 Senior Teams Launch & Sponsors Night – 13th April
Our VERY special guest avid football fan Melanie McLaughlin, Fox Sports A-League host and interviewer as well as Fox Sports news presenter on channel 513.
We were really pleased to have Mel attend this year and she proved to be a big hit, which is hardly surprising. Interviewed on stage by our own “reluctant interviewer” Peter “Dicko” Dixon Mel gave us an insight into the world of football behind the scenes as well as in front of the camera. As the countries number one “on ground” interviewer herself, Mel has met the biggest stars Australian Football has to offer and it was more than interesting to hear her views on the game.
We were also extremley pleased to be joined by many of the sponsors that the club has and we can’t thank them enough for their generosity and continued support of the club. OK, let’s see the photo’s……………..

17TH JUNE 2010 – FIRE DESTROYS STORAGE CONTAINER & 95% OF CONTENTS
A fire that was lit outside the storage container at the nortern end sometime early on Thursday morning the 17th June was so intense it ignited cardboard boxes inside the container that had footballs inside. It soon spread to other items inside before a passer by reported smoke coming from the air vents. On inspection once the doors were opened combustion took over and the fire took over.
It took the Rural Fire Brigade 25 minutes before they were on site and by then the damage had been done. What wasn’t destroyed by fire was destroyed by smoke and water.
This is where it all started. Whoever the aronist’s where started a mini “bomb” fire gainst the Northern End on the container. The heat was so bad that it had catasrophic results

Some of the end result, remnents of burnt footballs, shirts and anythiny else that was inside

Can they be saved? Burnt & water logged kit bags that contained playing strips

Nearly 2 tonnes of damaged equipment had to be disposed of

Once full of life and chock full of equipment and club records, this picture tells the TRUE story
